Issuing the second policy paper in a series of policy papers that will be issued and published on (the role of civil society organizations in achieving the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals)

Saturday 3/26/2022 In light of declaring the year 2022 as the year of civil society and in support of the role of civil society organizations in achieving sustainable development by 2030, the second policy paper was issued, which is part of a series of policy papers that will be issued and published on (the role of civil society organizations in achieving the goals of sustainable development 2030). The second paper was titled “The Role of Civil Society Organizations.” Civil society organizations in achieving the “fourth goal” of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, concerned with “quality education”. The paper was the result of organizing a “round table” for experts in civil society work and education, including representatives of civil society organizations, the governmental and private sectors, and international organizations, which are the parties concerned with the third goal of the sustainable development goals, “quality education.” A number of 35 experts and representatives of international and governmental bodies, civil society and the media participated in the meeting. The discussion among the participants revolved around four axes: - ✳️The first axis: The current status of the educational services system (achievements/challenges) in light of Egypt’s strategic vision for sustainable development 2030 ✳️The second axis: The current status of the system of training and rehabilitation services, especially the most vulnerable groups (achievements/challenges) in light of Egypt’s strategic vision for sustainable development 2030 ✳️The third axis: The reality of the current contribution of civil society organizations to achieving the fourth goal (reality and hope). ✳️The fourth axis: The future of the partnership between the private sector and both the government sector and the private sector to achieve the fourth goal of quality education. The paper includes a proposed community vision and recommendations for agencies and parties concerned with activating the role of civil society organizations in achieving the fourth goal.
